Why do positive thinking, repeating affirmations or even meditation work?
Almost everyone feels silly saying "I am getting better in every way" or "I am smart, confident and good looking" or even "I am one with all the G-d is" when you know it isn't at all how you feel or how things are.
"What's the point" we say to ourselves. And that is exactly the point. What we say to ourselves.
We talk to ourselves all the time. Stop and listen. Change what you say to yourself and you change your life.
You are in a trance state when you concentrate, when you watch TV, when you read, daydream etc.
Consequently. You are open to Hypnosis from Parents, Teachers, Media, Friends and repeating what they say to yourself.
You can be the author of your life. Just re-write your script.

We have all enjoyed a good story about the
'dark side of hypnosis', a suspenseful tale
of assassination, murder, love gone wrong
or revenge.
The 'dark side of hypnosis' is a
common theme among books, movies and
television, but is there truly a
'dark side' of hypnosis?
In a way there is, however the
'dark side' of hypnosis is much more
common and mundane than the entertainment
industry would lead you to believe.
In fact the entertainment industry
is as much a part of the 'dark side' of
hypnosis as any other means in our society.
As you have probably learned, hypnosis
is a natural and common occurrence in your
everyday life.
For the most part you are constantly
flowing in and out of hypnotic trances
daily, without realizing them.
Many times you are hypnotized quite
by accident and these instances are
generally harmless and well intentioned.
Other times trances are projected upon
you very purposefully,
They are designed to drive you to buy,
sell or do something you may not normally
desire to do.
The main culprits of purposeful hypnosis
you may not be aware of are the media,
news, government and advertising, as
well as other people's opinions.
If you take a moment to imagine a time
when there was no television, you may
picture a farm family with no more
possessions than they needed, maybe a
candle burning for light and a fire
to cook their food by.
They may appear to be happy in the
world they have created for themselves
without the influence of a television
constantly projecting the 'needs' of
everyday life.
If you compare this to today's home
life where most televisions are on at
almost every hour of the day, a very
different reality takes place.
You are being influenced everyday
by thousands of messages targeted
directly to persuade you to purchase
bigger, nicer, better and more
convenient items.
GPS takes the place of maps, disposable
diapers instead of cloth and television
recorders give you the ability to never
miss a single hypnotic message on TV.
Most advertising is created very
purposefully, their objective and
business is to influence you to buy
an item, one you may be persuaded
to think you really need.
In being persuaded to buy a new car,
when your current vehicle runs fine and
may only need a good washing, you are
not improving the self from within, you
are using a material object to make yourself
feel better about your status in life.
The news is just as abusive in its
power to influence your life, news is no
longer about bringing new events into
your life.
It is now about driving you to
watch the news.
And then to watch the advertising in
between the news bulletins.
News by definition is supposed to
report recent events, intelligence
and information.
However I am sure you realize by
now the news is really about catching
our general interests.
And the easiest way to do that is
to prey on our basic fears...
Murder, war, rape, financial instability,
disease; the list is endless.
Good news would be much too repetitive
and boring day after day; the sun rose, Joe
had a great day at work and his partner
managed to stay sane while caring for
their three children.
The story you will hear on the news
however is Joe went to work, there was
a terrorist attack and his partner could
no longer manage the children so she
drowned them in the bath tub.
The danger of this dark side of hypnosis
is it can often create a false impression
of the world we live in.
Sure it's important to know when bad
things happen and to educate yourself
to prevent them.
What is dangerous is to think that
everyday the 'news' is all that is
happening in our world.
Joe and his family above definitely
had a bad day no doubt about it, but
there were millions and millions of
other families that had perfectly
normal happy days as well.
Little Jimmy got an A, Sally learned
to do a cartwheel, Mom kept the grocery
bill under $200.00 and Dad experienced
a rewarding day at work and came home
an hour early.
The news no longer gives you an
accurate representation of the world
in which you live.
Hypnosis is powerful and it's
important to realize these dangers
in a world that is so prevalent with
hidden messages and suggestion.
How do you compensate and keep a
sane and realistic view of life?
Take action in your own mind,
choose what you believe, pay attention
to the things that are happening around you.
The easiest way not to fall victim
to the 'dark side of hypnosis' or to break
negative hypnotic messages is to think
rationally, critically, and originally.
Know who you are and do not be a
stranger to skepticism.
Skepticism allows you to make your
own decisions about what you take in
as your true beliefs in life.
Analyzing and ridiculing information
messages and protect your mind from
the all prevailing general pessimism that
is designed to get you to act in other
peoples interests.

100 million year old insurance salesman found!

A fossil of a gecko 100 million years old preserved in amber has been found.
Being the oldest fossil ever found, it proves that the oldest profession in the world is sales of government employee insurance (Geico) not prostitution.
Although these two professions are intimately related. Sex sells.
On a more serious note, as the article above points out and as my son just defined for me so-called Evolution is really just Adaptation.
Evolution postulates random mutation and best trait selection due to environmental factors leading to one species gradually evolving into another (e.g. apes into hominids and then into Humans). However nowhere in the fossil record has an intermediate or transitional species or missing link ever been found.
In fact this newly discovered fossil shows that after 100 million years a Gecko is still a Gecko. The gecko has not "evolved" to another species.
In addition the incredible sticky haired toes were already present in the fossil.
If Evolution by chance is true and a 100 million years can go by with no significant changes in those toes, how long would it have taken for those sticky haired toes to evolve by chance in the first place? If you guessed billions of times longer than our universe has existed, you would be correct. This points to a major hole in the theory of Evolution by Chance. There just isn't enough time for the incredible designs to have occurred during the lifetime of this universe (15 billion years). From whence comes the design if not by chance?
Evolutionists say Aliens from outer space (Panspermia) and Creationists say G-d.
Perhaps we can all agree that something transcendent to us did it and ponder the implications.

I suck and you don't. I hate you
Racism is a symptom. The cause is hating oneself. The cause is Fear and Jealousy. Prejudice is based on the invalid judgement of comparing yourself to someone else. People put down and hate what they feel is a threat; not just physical but even to the thought pattern we call ego. There can only be a threat if you perceive yourself as weaker; a "Loser". Only the weak and the "losers" hate.
Only people that hate who they are, can hate someone else. We love our neighbor to the extent that we love ourselves.
In my "hood" the Italian "Yutes" would gather together with lead pipes and go beat up the "Brothers" (Of course they used the N word). Practically speaking that is racism but the root is penis envy.
That's right, they were afraid that the cool Brothers had bigger swords and they would lose control of "their" women. They hated the Brothers because they were losers in comparison. They wanted to be cool too. They were Jealous. The problem is that the comparison is invalid! If you want something that another person has you must be willing to become that person. You can't just pick out a trait it comes in a context. You must take on that context too.
If you want the wealth someone has, you must be willing to go through what they went through. If you steal the wealth you will not be happy with it because you did not accumulate the wisdom and the maturity that comes from earning it.
Taking what you haven't earned usually poisons a person. You know that you haven't earned it and that it can just as easily be taken away. You are still living in fear.
Only if you are secure with yourself can you love another.
Again the solution comes from the individual. Society can help at the local level through family and community. Conversely society can breed this self hatred that we then project on others.
Racism is Fear and Jealousy.
Blacks (and guilt-ridden Whites) hate Whites because they are taught that the Whites have the power and the poor Blacks are victims with no hope. Whites secretly hate them. They want what the White has but can't get it because they are Black in America and the odds are stacked against them. They lash out against Whitey out of fear and jealousy.
Their only out is to gain power or take over society and take the wealth Whitey is holding back from them. A Black President is a good start. Taxing the rich who are predominantly White and redistributing their wealth to the Blacks who are predominantly poor isn't stealing it's reparations.
But those who haven't earned wealth nor developed wisdom and maturity become prisoners of an entitlement and victim mentality and pass the hate on to their children. A brotherhood of anger, hate and fear.
The longest running and most insidious racism and prejudice is Jew hatred. Everyone hates the Jews because they are taught that the Jews are rich, control and hoard the world's wealth and are loved by G-d more than anyone else. Were you ever jealous that your sibling or friend or classmate got more attention than you? Did you feel like a loser and hate them or get depressed. Did you put them down behind their back or in your mind? Imagine how much of a loser you are compared to the rich, all powerful, spiritually superior JEW! Damn even I'm getting angry! Imagine the hatred if you can never be as good as the Jew in G-D's eye. Of course it's a distortion but don't you think and feel that way? Don't you know someone that thinks and feels that way? Why has this myth perpetuated so long?
How do you fix it? Get right with yourself then teach and preach by word and example!

Human Evolution is Junk Science
There are apes and chimps and Humans with no link between them.
There are no Human ancestors in the fossil record only Homonids.
Humans evolving from Apes or monkeys is a claim made with the assumption that scientists will eventually find evidence.
It's like claiming that you should be treated like royalty and not to worry the records will be found someday.
It's a scam.

George Washington Spoke Hebrew
Translations of the Five books of Moses are inaccurate and misleading. That is why the Pentateuch was studied in Hebrew (see the Hebrew mottos of Harvard and Yale) until secularists empowered themselves with Darwin's flawed theory and threw out Biblical study in Hebrew.
However the Oral transmission, Kabbalah revelations, our insight and even scientific discoveries are fruits of the seeds planted in our reality by Moses interface with YHVH and come out over time. They are all integral to the understanding and interpretation of the Hebrew itself and should not be ignored.
The Rabbis used all of the sources to codify Jewish Law which is not the Torah. It is the Halacha or how to walk the walk of the talk in the Torah.
Let's differentiate between the Torah scroll and the Masoretic written text that contains vowels and annotations.
The original authentic letter for letter text of the Torah scroll is unchanged by the Rabbis from Moses' original. The Rabbis did not add or subtract or re-position any letters. All they did in the scroll was to add white space for easier reading, put in certain symbols which aren't read and altered the text size of certain letters and the layout of passages that have particular hidden significance.
The order of the letters, each dictated directly to Moses when he interfaced with YHVH must be preserved exactly because the Torah contains encoded messages revealed through numerical exposition. For instance the first 42 letters of Genesis reveal the cosmology and age of our Universe. Over a thousand years ago we wrote down that the universe has been in existence for approx 15 billion years which was only recently known to science. We also parsed the most exact calculation for the Lunar calendar (Eventually revealed by Hillel) centuries before science and before NASA satellites confirmed the Torah encoded result as the most accurate.
For non Torah Scroll use, the Masoretic scholars put in writing what was until then the Oral tradition which preserved pronunciation, cantillation and how to read and interpret certain passages (Such as "to him" rather than "not". FYI this appears three times in the Pentateuch) etc.
A lot of information can be gleaned from the Hebrew text only. What words are used, how they are used etc. However the oral and Kabbalistic are also important and in fact are the hidden (In time) portion of the text of the Torah scroll. Revelation there leads to further understanding and revelations of the Scroll text.
As science discovers more it helps us understand the Torah and the Torah then reveals more science.
For instance: the quest for messages encoded in the Hebrew letters of the Pentateuch led Blaise Pascal the French Mathematician to develop the mathematics of probability and statistics. Pursuit of the Torah codes led to understanding Cryptography which led to the development of the computer to break the WWII cryptographic codes.
Now that we have the computer, patterns that were too time consuming to decrypt can be decoded.
Even the authenticity of the Torah can now be confirmed using statistics and probability mathematics. (Full circle, such a coincidence :-). There is a statistically significant profusion of messages chronicling births, deaths and events that had not yet occurred in Moses time which points to an intelligence outside of time.
Quantum mechanics tells us that all possibilities exist but we choose the ones that become reality. All possibilities must exist for us to have free choice. However the Universe doesn't fly apart due to our lousy choices so there is also an intelligence maintaining a certain base pattern and order.
The Torah codes contain all the possibilities for future events just as the universe does. However we only find the one that corresponds with what we know. Once we make a choice that influences which reality manifests it guides which dates or names we search for.
The Torah codes are of limited use for predicting the future. We don't know what to look for and even if we find something that possibility not be the one that is actualized by our free choices.
However in some cases we may be able to predict the most likely possibilities.
Where G-d influences a certain set of events (Such as Exodus from Egypt or the coming of Messiah) we have some choice but the outcome is strongly fixed in time/space. (B'Yad Chazakah) (Yad is positioning in space and time which is why Yad is used as the root of hand, near and causality) With a Quantum Computer that uses the many possible states of sub atomic particles that exist at the same time the entire coded message of the Torah may be revealed.
